My name is Jane and I live with my husband of 40 years Martyn. We have 2 daughters Victoria has her own a fitness business and Katie is a teacher.

I am also a grandmother and 'Janes-sewingbox' started as a result of numerous commissions for my daughter’s friends and colleagues after I made things for my 2 lovely grandsons.

Children's aprons, little girl’s handbags, crayon rolls specifically for the children were soon followed by adult handbags in fabric and oilcloth, bunting, doorstops and peg bags etc.

Some of those items are replicated here and I try to get original fabrics where possible.

All items are personally handmade with care by me. They may be a penny or two more than some, but I usually line everything and ensure they are of a high quality finish.

There may be an offline stitch, and individual sizes may vary slightly as I cut out by hand, which adds to the charm.

I love creating and making new things and it is as therapeutic as it is frantic so gives the right balance all day.
